I had my surgery scheduled for last Friday, went up for the Pre-Admission Testing and quick Dr appointment in Portland. Everything went well, only I have to be at hospital at 6 a.m. I looked on my GPS for hotels around the area, so I would not have to go far in the early a.m. and found a Marriott close by, thinking I might want to use the Room Service option... which later was a good idea.
Thursday night, went out to dinner with Kristin Smith at the Portland City Grill, which is a restaurant on the 30th floor, and has great views of Portland skyline.
Friday, surgery went well, took a lil longer than expected, but did get most of the bone that has been causing issues for years out.

I stayed in Portland for the night, used room service a few times... nothing like getting ice cream delived after 10 p.m.
I drove back to K Falls on Sat, taking my time and stopping a bit here and there... fighting off the sleepies and being as safe as I can... probably should not have been driving, but did not have any issues. I really do notice a difference in having it removed.. the feeling of a stiff neck and having the sensation of something poking the back of my throat when I turn my head are both gone. I am curious if this will lessen migraine's, head aches, and a few other things will improve.
I am taking the next few days in recovering... sad I had to have surgery to get multiple days off in mid-season.
